Kerascene Music promotes various artists and bands through emerging digital media. Occasionally we release music under the Kerascene Recordings umbrella. However, we feel that whilst an artist is building a fanbase that they should NOT sign to a music label. We are a D.I.Y. label and partner with D.I.Y. artists. All of the digital tools you need to produce and distribute your music are now freely available on the web. As an independent artist you should first concentrate on building a mailing list of dedicated fans. You should place free downloads and streams – in exchange for email addresses – in as many outlets as possible. Only after you have at least ten thousand fans on your mailing list should you consider working with a label.
